Job Description
Responsibilities:
Service Operations Management:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the service department, including repair and maintenance services.
- Ensure the timely and efficient completion of service orders while maintaining quality standards.
Customer Service:
- Foster a customer-centric culture within the service department.
- Address customer inquiries, concerns, and escalations promptly and professionally.
Team Leadership:
- Provide leadership and direction to service managers, technicians, and support staff.
- Foster a collaborative and motivated work environment, promoting teamwork and professional development.
Performance Metrics:
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for the service department.
- Implement strategies to achieve and exceed performance targets related to service efficiency, customer satisfaction, and revenue.
Financial Management:
- Develop and manage the service department budget.
- Implement cost control measures and revenue enhancement strategies to achieve financial goals.
Quality Assurance:
- Implement and enforce quality control processes to ensure the delivery of high-quality service.
- Conduct regular audits of service processes and procedures.
Training and Development:
- Identify training needs for service staff and develop programs to enhance their skills.
- Stay informed about advancements in automotive technology and industry best practices.
Inventory Management:
- Oversee parts and inventory management to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize downtime.
- Establish relationships with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective parts procurement.
Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and industry certifications.
- Keep abreast of changes in regulations that may impact service operations.
Strategic Planning:
- Contribute to the development and execution of the overall business strategy.
- Identify opportunities for service department growth and improvement.
