Job Description

The MEP Engineer will collaborate with architects, project managers, and contractors throughout the lifecycle of construction projects. They will be involved in everything from initial planning and design to installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. The engineer must be knowledgeable in building codes and regulations, sustainability practices, and advanced technologies to provide energy-efficient solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop MEP systems for real estate projects, ensuring efficiency and compliance with all relevant standards.
• Conduct load calculations, system design, and equipment specifications for HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and other disciplines to create integrated building designs.
• Prepare detailed construction documents, including drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure the installed systems meet design specifications and quality standards.
• Investigate and resolve technical issues that arise during the construction phase of projects.
• Support project management teams in scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation for MEP systems installation.
• Evaluate and recommend energy-efficient solutions and sustainable practices in MEP systems design.
• Stay updated on advancements in technology, building codes, and industry standards relevant to MEP engineering.
• Provide training and support to junior engineers and other team members as necessary.
• Document and report on project progress, challenges, and resolutions to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with maintenance teams to address any system-related issues post-construction.
