Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement purchasing strategies that align with the organization’s goals and objectives.
• Lead, mentor, and manage the purchasing team to maximize team performance and professional development.
• Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, price, service, and delivery capabilities.
• Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to secure the best possible outcomes for the organization.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and economic conditions that may affect the purchasing environment.
• Establish and enforce procurement policies and procedures to ensure compliance and efficiencies.
• Manage the purchasing budget and ensure cost-effective procurement while maximizing resource utilization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as production, quality assurance, and logistics to synchronize supply chain activities.
• Conduct regular supplier performance evaluations to ensure compliance with contract terms and quality standards.
• Identify risks within the supply chain and develop strategies for mitigating them.
• Prepare reports and presentations on purchasing activities, supplier performance, and market analysis for senior management.
• Continuously seek innovative solutions and improvements within the procurement function.
