Job Description
Job Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and evaluate speech and language programs tailored to the needs of primary class students.
- Conduct assessments to identify speech and language disorders in students and create individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Collaborate with teachers to integrate speech and language goals into classroom activities and curriculums.
- Provide direct speech therapy services to students, focusing on articulation, fluency, and language development.
- Train and guide teachers and support staff on effective strategies to support students with speech and language difficulties.
- Communicate regularly with parents to provide updates on student progress and recommend strategies to reinforce communication skills at home.
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings to discuss student progress and coordinate care with other professionals.
- Stay current on research trends and developments in speech therapy and child development to enhance program effectiveness.
- Develop and maintain instructional materials and resources for speech and language development activities.
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records of therapy sessions and assessments.
